**Understanding Stretch Ceilings: An Overview**

A Stretch Ceiling is an advanced suspended ceiling system comprising two fundamental components:

– **A Membrane**
– **A Profile Track**

The profile track is mounted around the perimeter of the room’s walls, positioned 3/4 inch below the ceiling line. The lightweight fabric membrane is then secured into this track, creating a smooth, seamless ceiling surface.

Stretch ceilings have been a global phenomenon for decades, originating in France many years ago. Initially designed to conceal imperfections such as cracks, peeling paint, or exposed cables and pipes, stretch ceilings have since evolved into a significant element of both interior and exterior design. Today, many designers view the ceiling—often referred to as the « fifth wall »—as a crucial aspect of a space’s aesthetic.

At « OneStretchCeiling », we employ the original Stretch Ceiling installation method, ensuring that our membranes are easily removable and can be reinstalled on the same day as needed. This flexibility offers unparalleled convenience for both homeowners and contractors.
